About Me

My photo
A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!

TASA OPEN HOUSE WAS A SUCCESS!

The TASA open house and rummage/baked goods sale was a huge success! I don't have the total tally yet of how much was made from the sale, but it was better than we had hoped for.

TASA wants to thank everyone that contributed so generously. There were many area businesses that REALLY gave their all, so a special thanks to the Pizza Hut of Newberry, Newberry Subway Shop, Sedar's Pizza, Newberry IGA Store, Red Owl Market and the Tahquamenon Brewery & Pub for contributing most of the baked goods and goodies for part of our sale. Pop was contributed by Newberry Bottling. There were other very nice donations by numberous other businesses as well as many locals residents who gave generously.

TASA also needs to give a HUGE thanks to Eagle Radio 96.7 for all the promoting that they did on air for this event. A large part of our success can be contributed to their commitment to helping in the community.

And last, but not least, if it had not been for the hard work of our Treasurer/Grant Writer/Fund Raiser Judy Brown, this event would not have taken place. Judy spent considerable time and effort making this event a success and she deserves a BIG pat on the back.

Thanks to everyone who participated in any way!
