Dan got home from the hospital Saturday morning. He said he almost called me Friday night….like around midnight! He wanted out of there THEN!! He is doing SO much better with this knee replacement than he did last year with the other one. I think it is a combination of a lot of things. For one, we both know what to expect, but I think the main thing is they didn’t use so many drugs on him and he was NOT put on morphine pump this time. He had Demerol (spelling??) instead. He doesn’t have a good appetite yet, but even that is better than last year. I wish it was so he could get outside and walk around. There is still enough snow on the ground that it would be dangerous for him to try to walk. We had a hard enough time getting him in the house Saturday! It was slippery walking from the car to the deck. The walker DOES have rubber grippers on the feet, but he doesn’t have grippers on HIS feet!
I told him this morning that I couldn’t understand how (or why) some women want to have a baby at age 50 or older. I enjoy my sleep too much and with him being awake about every hour on the hour, neither one of us is getting much sleep!
Just thought I’d bring ya up to speed and thank you all for the emails you’ve been sending!
I’ll have something really important to say hopefully in a couple of days! So stay tuned!!

- A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!
