This is a shot of part of the 4 Mile Corner trail and shows a bit of what snow we DO still have left.
This is a shot of our campground, facing south. I don't believe it will be much of a white Christmas. We're all still hoping it will happen!
On Sunday, some people who had traveled all the way from Florida stopped by. They were in the U.P. order to show their kids snow and let them play in the snow, only to arrive and find the LACK of snow. They asked if they could drive into our campground and let the kids play in the snow for about 20 minutes. I said that would be fine as long as they took pictures and emailed me one or two when they get back home to Florida. The family played out in the snow for a while, stopped by on their way out and thanked us. We felt badly that there wasn't any more snow for them to enjoy!
- Cathy Clementz
- A long time ago, I was a child. (I started out as Cathy First from Colon, Mi.) For the past several years I’ve been an adult. A lot of things went on between those two stages of life; probably no more or no less than anyone elses. My husband and I moved to “da U .P” from southern Lower Michigan several years ago (yes we were trolls at one time). We owned and operated and operate Clementz’s Northcountry Campground and Cabins just north of Newberry, Michigan until May 2015. We have grown kids and grandkids (who all live downstate). My passion is life and all that Nature has to offer us and trying to photograph it in unique ways. Our intention in life is to see all that Nature has to offer us. We hope that you will be a part of our adventures as we cruise through our lives together. Come back often!
